What is CAD
It was 1962, computer scientist Ivan Sutherland invented the the the first computer graphic program, known as “SketchPad” which enabled people to write or draw easy sketches directly on a screen with the help of a particular pencil.
At first, CAD courses was used only for research applications, but in the 1970s, big automotive and aerospace companies began developing their software, growing its attention to other industries in the 1980s. It wasn’t till the 1990s that tools like CATIA and AutoCAD were born, making it possible to be utilized in various professional divisions.
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) means computers are getting used to support the design methods in any type of industry. With CAD software, it is possible to create a complete model by using the imagination of the operator. Allowing the user to add properties like height, width, distance, material, or color before the model is being used for a specific application.
